The Friendship Network:

There is never enough time in the day or resources on hand to meet the needs of some of our patients. Often, they live alone and are isolated, sick, depressed and disheartened. It is hard to be cheerful when you are in pain or afraid, and when your body does not do what it once did.

Although Home Caregivers provides medical and non-medical staff to assist with daily living tasks and medical conditions, people need more than that. friend for a few hours to help with wrapping Christmas gifts, reading a book, watching a movie, scrapbooking, writing a memoir, or taking a walk even on unsteady legs – and so we are always seeking individuals to ‘adopt’ a patient and find meaningful ways to brighten their lives.

If you are interested in our Friendship Network, call us. We will fill out your ‘profile’ and closely match you with a patient that fits your talents and abilities. It is our intention to match volunteers with patients that will create friendships and a warm and loving relationship. If you want to enjoy a one-on-one volunteer experience, and if you have a love of elderly people, or if you have a special gift or talent to offer, please call Home Caregivers at 801.485.6166 for more information
